Job Description
Were seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to found the clients quality engineering team.
In this role youll drive automated testing initiatives and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure product quality.
The ideal candidate combines strong programming skills in TypeScript/Python with expertise in test automation bringing a methodical approach to quality assurance and a passion for building robust test frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks primarily using Playwright.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand product requirements and design test strategies.
- Enhance test coverage and improve testing efficiency through innovative solutions.
- Identify document and track bugs to resolution.
- Debug complex issues across different environments.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality. Mentor junior team members on best testing practices.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in software development and testing.
- Strong programming skills in Typescript and/or Python.
- Experience with UI and API automation frameworks such as Playwright.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
- Understanding of SQL and using databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in fintech or financial services.
- Knowledge of security testing and performance testing.
- Docker container deployment through Cloud Run.
- Experience with CircleCI and Cloud Scheduler/cron jobs.
