Position: Sr. Data Analytics Engineer
Location: Remote preference given to those living in Columbus OH Dallas TX or Broken Arrow OK
Contract : Long Term
Exp level: 15 years
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Safe LeSS or Modern Agile experienced individuals (Culture of Lean/Scrum/XP methods)
Ability to work in the context of Waterfall IT controls
Familiar with our InfoSec control levels (desired)
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is a Technical Analyst responsible for building datasets reports analytics dashboards and visualizations. The Senior Data Analytics Engineer creates and schedules Power BI datasets from the source so that it can be easily analyzed visualized and acted upon by the data analyst or business user.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited Institution or equivalent industry experience
5 years of experience in data analytics or data engineering environment using Power BI Service with cloud & onpremise databases.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:
Indepth experience in data analytics using Power BI Service Power BI Report Server and SSRS to develop semantic data models reports and dashboards.
Indepth experience in mlanguage
Indepth experience in building tabular models in SSAS and AAS for use with Power BI Reporting Service and Power BI Report Server.
Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.
Knowledge of Python or other modern stack tools a plus
Proficiency in Databricks & SQL databases. Knowledge in data transformation data warehousing and deployment tools is a plus.
Indepth experience collaborating with business units to define data needs acting as a conduit between technology and the business.
Knowledge of Windows OS Microsoft Office and other Windowsbased programs
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs various complicated tasks in a fastpaced productioncritical support environment. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
