Job Description
We are seeking an AASHTOWare Project Test Engineer for a longterm contract opportunity with one of our Ecommerce clients located in the Raleigh NC area.
*This position is remote; however the selected candidate must travel to Raleigh occasionally in order to meet with business customers and complete training.
Responsibilities:
- Designing developing implementing and supporting AASHTOWare Project (AWP) software for bidding letting certified payroll compliance and market analysis data analytics reports and dashboards.
- Work with business analysts and other technical staff to deliver required functionality for AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules to the business customers in an agile environment.
Required Skills:
- 2 Years Strong communication skills both verbal and written and experience clearly communicating with developers product analyst customers and managers.
- 2 Years Strong experience with automated testing tools and methods.
- 2 Years Ability to review and translate business user specifications/User Stories into Test Cases.
- 2 Years Ability to clearly explain technical issues and processes to team members software vendors and potentially other DOTs and manage testing support needed until issues are resolved or workarounds are identified.
- 2 Years Ability to work independently managing own work task and deadlines and coordinating team participation with others to complete testing assignments.
- 2 Years Ability to organize and manage a central repository of Test Cases and ability to migrate existing MS Excel test documentation to a centralized tool.
- 2 Years Strong experience working in a SCRUM software development and support team.
- 2 Years Familiarity with data models and ability to read them and research data relationships.
- 2 Years Knowledge of any of the following: MS Power.
- Automate SQL C# .NET python PowerShell command line or similar to automate task and make work more efficient.
- 2 Years Strong experience using MS Azure DevOps MS Teams 0365 applications MS Office Suite applications Visio SharePoint OneDrive
- 2 Years Ability to work well in a virtual team.
- 2 Years General knowledge of IT and software development best practices.
- 2 Years Experience with AASHTOWare Project software Department of Transportation experience or similar.
