Job Description
Role: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Pay Range: $32$48 an hour open to negotiations
Type: Direct Hire FullTime
Location: Bakersfield CA
Tools Provided: New service truck parked overnight at the shop
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8hour shifts with overtime
We are searching for qualified and ambitious individuals to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled safe and professional manner. Responsibilities will include maintenance and repair of complex mechanical electrical hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment. You will also be responsible for service documentation training of lowerlevel technicians as needed demonstration of equipment for customer use when necessary being able to accurately order needed parts from vendors and occasional travel to customer sites.

Experience Required: 5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment. (hydraulic systems Cummins engines)
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with tools and equipment including welding as well as computers
- Must have own tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and handle the technical/electronic side of repairs
- Competency with computers and diagnostic software
- Certifications (e.g. dealer certifications) are a plus
- Open to clientfacing and communication responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will have highly developed mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines extensive knowledge of heavy equipment an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams own the tools applicable to the position and exhibit strong teamwork verbal and written skills.
- Outstanding customer service is paramount therefore your commitment and ability to provide this to each customer makes you a topnotch candidate.
- A high school diploma and a valid drivers license are required CDL is a plus must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Field Work: Willing to travel for field assignments
Travel Expectations: 5075% of the time
