Job Description
Electrical Designer with a strong background in 3D modeling and design specifically using E3D (Engineering Design and Drafting) or SP3D (SmartPlant 3D) software. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and design teams to develop detailed electrical systems layouts and wiring schematics for industrial and commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design 3D electrical models and layouts using E3D or SP3D software.
- Create detailed electrical diagrams cable routing and equipment placement.
- Collaborate with engineers and other design professionals to ensure electrical designs meet the project specifications and safety standards.
- Integrate electrical design with other disciplines (piping HVAC structural) in a unified 3D environment.
- Conduct electrical load analysis and coordinate with the project team to ensure system compatibility.
- Prepare electrical design documentation including cable schedules equipment lists and layout drawings.
- Review and update electrical designs based on changes in project requirements or client feedback.
- Ensure that designs comply with applicable codes standards and regulations (e.g. NEC IEC or other relevant standards).
- Participate in design reviews and assist in resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Support field installation teams by providing technical assistance and addressing designrelated issues.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Design or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Designer with 3D modeling tools specifically E3D or SP3D.
- Strong proficiency in 3D design tools specifically in modeling electrical systems cable trays wiring and associated components.
