JOB SUMMARY:
The Truck Driver operates heavyduty trucks for material transport while ensuring safety compliance and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operate heavyduty trucks for local and longdistance transport.
Conduct pre and posttrip vehicle inspections.
Adhere to traffic laws and transport regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and trip records.
Report vehicle defects or issues to the Workshop Manager.
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or spillage.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments when required.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors.
Stay updated on road and weather conditions to plan routes.
Comply with safety protocols to minimize risks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and trailer.
Attend regular safety and operational training sessions.
Monitor fuel consumption and optimize routes for efficiency.
Coordinate with the workshop team for routine maintenance.
Requirements
10 years of experience in truck driving.
Certification in defensive driving is an advantage.
Strong understanding of truck operations and road safety.
