Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role you will work on developing multiintelligence and multidomain systems specializing in object and activitybased models within the intelligence community. Your contributions will directly support national efforts to combat chemical biological radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats by leveraging Integrated Biosurveillance (IB) for early detection and warning. Your work will enhance situational awareness and support critical decisionmaking during healthrelated incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Design configure develop test and support informatics and data science solutions across diverse technical use cases.
- Apply analytical methodologies to address datarelated challenges implement effective solutions and assess performance outcomes.
- Document and present requirements design alternatives and findings to team members and clients clearly and concisely.
- Develop strategic baseline data modeling processes and accurately assess causeandeffect relationships.
- Utilize integrated development environments data integration visualization and data mining/analysis tools.
- Maintain and guide the development of common libraries and tools shared across multiple teams.
- Assist in formulating strategies to achieve rapid prototyping for innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- U.S. Citizenship and an Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelors degree with 710 years of experience or Masters degree with 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python or R).
- Expertise in one or more big data programming languages (e.g. Python or Java).
- Experience in AI/ML model development containerization and productization.
- Knowledge graph construction and reasoning experience including familiarity with property graph or RDF model frameworks.
- Experience with Elasticsearch and related indexing technologies.
- Prior experience in data analytics or big data research particularly supporting military or intelligence community customers.
- Familiarity with opensource data sources (PAI) and/or forensic media (DOMEX).
- Experience developing predictive algorithms.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in cybersecurity or network security operations.
- Familiarity with social network analysis supply chain analysis forensic accounting patternoflife analysis natural language processing social media analysis classification algorithms and/or image processing.
- Ability to blend analytical methodologies and creatively leverage COTS/GOTS/OS tools for unconventional applications.
