Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal specializing in probate and trust administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of probate estate settlement and trust management processes. This role requires exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a clientfocused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in managing estate and trust administration cases from inception to completion.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including petitions inventories accountings and affidavits.
  • Coordinate with clients beneficiaries financial institutions and court officials to gather and exchange necessary information.
  • Handle probate filings and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Work with financial advisors and CPAs to gather necessary documents for the preparation of income tax returns for estates and trusts.
  • Organize and maintain case files ensuring all documentation is accurate and uptodate.
  • Manage asset valuations transfers and distributions for estates and trusts.
  • Conduct legal research and provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 35 years experience as a paralegal specializing in estate and trust administration.
  • Strong knowledge of probate laws trust laws and estate tax regulations.
  • Proficiency with legal software document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Certification as a paralegal or equivalent credentials preferred.
