Job Description
Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator(US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Responsibilities:
- Install configure and upgrade SQL Server instances across development test and production environments.
- Monitor database performance implement changes and apply new patches and versions.
- Perform regular database backups restores and disaster recovery operations.
- Monitor database health optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Design implement and maintain database schemas tables and indexes to improve query performance.
- Optimize database queries and stored procedures for performance and efficiency.
- Implement database security and encryption mechanisms to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitor and manage user access permissions and roles.
- Provide support for databaserelated incidents issues and outages.
- Collaborate with developers system administrators and business stakeholders to resolve databaserelated problems.
- Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and monitoring database systems.
- Implement database monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
- Maintain uptodate documentation for database configurations processes and procedures.
- Work closely with application teams to understand database requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA with expertise in SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of TSQL performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Experience with highavailability solutions (e.g. Always On Availability Groups clustering replication).
- Proficient in backup recovery and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Experience in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) SQL Profiler and other database tools.
- Handson experience with database monitoring tools such as SolarWinds DPA or Redgate.
- Understanding of indexing partitioning and data archiving strategies.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
