Job Description
Job Overview:
The company a leading provider of highquality fasteners seeks a skilled Saw Operator/Cutting Technician to join our team. This role involves operating saws and cutting machinery to process materials precisely while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate cutting equipment such as band saws circular saws and other machinery.
- Material Handling: Measure mark and cut raw materials according to engineering specifications and work orders.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools like calipers micrometers and gauges.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Documentation: Accurately record production data material usage and quality checks.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience operating saws or similar cutting machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints work orders and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
- Knowledge of materials such as metals and alloys is a plus.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Vocational training or certification is a plus.
