Job Description
2. Understand Telecommunications Industry Association TIA942B Standard for Data Centers.
3. Prepare Basis of Design for Data Center Master Plan Concept Schematics.
4. Complete detailed engineering tasks including preparation of load list and load balancing in case of power failure.
5. Prepare SLD Power distribution Equipment Layout as per NBC/CEIG/Electricity Rule Cable tray / Earthing layout.
6. Conduct design calculations for sizing major electrical equipment and be familiar with ETAP calculations.
7. Conduct Lightning protection calculation.
8. Guide a team of designers in 2D / 3D electrical engineering review 3D models and review layouts and MTOs extracted from the model.
9. Estimate costs of Electrical Package.
10. Oversee procurement activity for Electrical items.
11. Review vendor drawings and electrical content for mechanical packages.
12. Participate in client discussions.
13. Ensure timely completion of designs requisitions and engineering deliverables.
14. Provide technical guidance to Electrical Engineers and Designers.
15. Adhere to Department/Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems.
16. Monitor work progress and workhour usage.
17. Work within company manhours and budgets.
18. Maintain client relationships attend to feedback and complaints.
19. Monitor project progress and compliance with requirements and schedule.
20. Coordinate with other disciplines/groups for information exchange and problemsolving.
21. Address site issues including Technical Queries and Nonconformity Notices effectively and quickly.
22. Attend Design Engineering Management Review Meetings.
23. Visit sites for residual engineering / resolving site queries.
24. Coordinate with various stakeholders for effective engineering management.
25. Deliver training to engineers.
26. Inspect electrical equipment.
27. Have knowledge of Electrical codes IS/ IEC standards and 3D engineering.
28. Execute Electrical Engineering for Data Center.
29. Hold a First Class B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical.
30. Have 10 to 12 years of experience with at least 5 years as Lead Electrical Engineer in Data Center projects.
31. Have experience in multioffice execution for Global projects.
