Key Responsibilities:
- Patient care: Monitoring vital signs providing basic care and helping with bathing or dressing
- Documentation: Recording patient history medication lists and treatment plans
- Emergency response: Initiating emergency resuscitation measures and reporting patient conditions to the appropriate personnel
- Laboratory work: Collecting samples labeling specimens and performing routine laboratory tests
- Administrative tasks: Answering patient calls scheduling appointments and maintaining supplies
- Patient communication: Responding to patient inquiries and following up with patients on lab results
- Patient safety: Alerting appropriate personnel for safety fire and other unsafe situations
- Equipment management: Cleaning wrapping and autoclaving instruments
- Patient transportation: Assisting and/or transporting patients to exam rooms or surgical suites
- Interdisciplinary care: Consulting other departments to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patients needs
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification in New Hampshire (dont leave home without it!).
- Hospital experience is a plus but were happy to train enthusiastic LPNs who love to learn.
- Excellent communication skillsextra points if you can throw in a great dad joke!
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (but dont worry no capes required).
