Job Description
Job Title: Nurse Manager OR
Location: Modesto CA
Employment Type: Permanent FullTime
Salary Range: $180000 $270000 per year
The Nurse Manager OR is responsible for managing 24hour patient care services ensuring the delivery of highquality accessible and costeffective care within a safe and patientfocused environment. This role oversees clinical standards resource budgeting and staff development while ensuring compliance with federal state and local requirements. This position offers full benefits a 10% signon bonus and a teamoriented environment that fosters professional growth.
Essential Responsibilities:- Oversee operations of 24hour departments potentially across multiple locations ensuring highquality patient care and compliance with Nursing Practice Act The Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
- Set implement and maintain patient care and service standards to meet internal and client expectations.
- Design and assess processes to enhance patient care across the continuum.
- Develop and monitor budgets optimize human and material resources manage financial performance and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve care quality.
- Determine and manage the appropriate staff mix including recruitment hiring training and competency maintenance.
- Ensure ongoing staff development and manage human resources safety and risk issues.
- Develop and oversee departmental policies fiscal management and quality improvement activities.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant specialty area plus 4 years of management supervisory or leadership experience.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelors degree in Nursing or a directentry Masters in Nursing (MSN).
- License/Certification:
- California Registered Nurse License required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Additional Requirements: Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act Joint Commission and federal state and local regulations along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work within a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
- Masters degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Two years of management experience Magnet/shared governance experience or experience in a bargaining environment preferred.
- Five years of recent experience managing or supervising a Main OR within the last 7 years.
