Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse MedicalSurgical

Start Date: 12/9/2024

Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Petoskey MI 49770

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights12

Shift Notes: 36 hours per week

Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend

OnCall Requirements: No Call

COVID19/FLU Requirement: na

Traveler Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 35mile radius restriction)

Dress Code: HospitalProvided Scrubs

Further Specifics:

  • Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
  • OT/Holiday/Call back Markups: 1.1x Regular rates
  • Extension Discount: $1/hr on the initial extension.

The client has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clinical Expertise: Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop implement and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological psychosocial and spiritual assessment consistent with the patient/significant others changing needs & goals utilizing the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the CaringQuality Model.
  • Knowledge: Seeks lifelong learning through certification advanced practice higher education and literature review.
  • Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrates leadership through sharing of knowledge being a clinical resource and professional role model.
  • Communication: Demonstrates effective communication through collegial relationships SBAR and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Productivity: Demonstrates enhanced time management skills and ability to assist others to contribute to the overall performance of the team.
  • Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed by general and unitspecific competencybased objectives.
Submission Requirements
  • 2 years of experience Required
  • Travel highly preferred

Health systemwide profile standards

  • References NOT required.
  • A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
  • Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit it would be in the travelers best interest to provide a writeup of what happened for the managers review.
  • Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above.
  • Fulltime employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
