Proxy Engineer

Job Title: Proxy Engineer

Locations: Plano TX or Richmond Mclean VA

Need exp within Palo Alto Prisma Cloud and/or BlueCoat/Broadcom Proxy Candidates without theses will not be accepted.

Requirements

Strong to advanced knowledge of complex proxy solution designs which include antivirus data leak prevention (DLP) SSL interception content analysis and threat emulation components

Solid understanding of HTTP SSL Kerberos NTLM and proxy automatic configuration files

Excellent understanding of desktop OS network configuration/functionality and browser behavior (IE11 Chrome Safari Firefox)

Experience using network management tools log reporting tools (e.g. Splunk Kibana) and interpreting packet captures to triage and resolve complex operational issues

High level understanding of multitiered application traffic flow server load balancing global load balancing firewalls active directory routing switching IP subnetting and public cloud architecture (e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Azure or Google Cloud)

Working knowledge of how to utilize network management tools and log reporting tools (e.g. Splunk Kibana) to triage and resolve complex operational issues

Working knowledge of server load balancing global load balancing firewalls routing active directory desktop proxy setting provisioning with Windows 7 Windows 10 and macOS (Sierra High Sierra) Kerberos and NTLM authentication methods and common malware infection/distribution vectors

Experience supporting hybrid proxy architectures involving a blend of on premise and cloudbased proxy server offerings a plus

Here are the preferred skills:

At least 2 years operational experience supporting proxy servers including hardware refresh software upgrades policy and PAC file implementation

At least 2 years operational experience supporting network security

At least 2 years technical leadership experience for an enterprise network or 2 years experience on enterprise projects or at least 2 years experience supporting an enterprise infrastructure

At least 4 years operational experience supporting proxy servers including hardware refresh software testing software upgrades policy construction proxy automatic configuration file (proxy.pac) coding/testing/debugging and complex troubleshooting techniques (e.g. debugging latency issues authentication issues and application functionality issues)

At least 4 years operational experience supporting Blue Coat technology (Proxy SG Director/Management Center Proxy AV/Content Analysis System (CAS) WebPulse Data Leak Prevention (DLP) integrated windows authentication from another enterpriseclass proxy vendor (Cisco Forcepoint (formerly Raytheon Websense) or Intel Security (McAfee))
