Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction.
Duties
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for clients with chemical dependency issues
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each clients needs
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and uptodate client records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Stay current on best practices in chemical dependency treatment and incorporate them into counseling sessions
Requirements
- Experience in child and family counseling is preferred
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies related to chemical dependency treatment
- Ability to work with people with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children and adolescents is a plus
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology and ICD10 coding
- Proficiency in medical documentation terminology and case management
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms for virtual counseling sessions
Job Type: Fulltime
Pay: $46000.00 $49000.00 per year
