Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction.

Duties

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions for clients with chemical dependency issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each clients needs
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate clients progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate client records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Stay current on best practices in chemical dependency treatment and incorporate them into counseling sessions

Requirements

  • Experience in child and family counseling is preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical research methodologies related to chemical dependency treatment
  • Ability to work with people with developmental disabilities
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is a plus
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology and ICD10 coding
  • Proficiency in medical documentation terminology and case management
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms for virtual counseling sessions

Job Type: Fulltime

Pay: $46000.00 $49000.00 per year
