Position Overview:
We are seeking an Oncall Appointment Clerk/Scheduler to join our team on a fulltime fully remote basis. In this role you will be responsible for managing and scheduling appointments for our patients. This is a crucial position in our organization as you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in ensuring their needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Answering phone calls and responding to emails from patients and referring providers
Scheduling appointments for patients based on availability and urgency of their needs
Maintaining accurate and uptodate patient records in our scheduling system
Coordinating with our team of psychiatrists and therapists to ensure timely and efficient scheduling of appointments
Communicating with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary information
Assisting with insurance verification and obtaining necessary authorizations for appointments
Providing excellent customer service and addressing any patient concerns or inquiries
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required associates or bachelors degree preferred
Previous experience in a medical office or scheduling role preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic medical records systems
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Detailoriented and able to multitask in a fastpaced environment
Familiarity with mental health terminology and insurance processes is a plus
Working Conditions:
This is a fully remote position meaning you can work from the comfort of your own home. However you must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet private workspace to perform your duties effectively. As an oncall position you may be required to work some evenings and weekends based on the needs of our patients.
