Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions including musculoskeletal issues chronic pain and neurological disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy therapeutic exercises medications and nonsurgical interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform procedures such as injections electrodiagnostic and other therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and the rehabilitation process.
Job Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO): Graduation from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- State Medical License: Must hold or be eligible to obtain an active medical license in the state of practice.
- Residency Training: Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- DEA Certification: Possession of a valid DEA registration or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a physiatry setting with a focus on rehabilitation pain management or musculoskeletal care.
- Strong clinical skills in nonsurgical treatment options such as injections electrodiagnostic and therapeutic exercises.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering compassionate patientcentered care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
