Our Client is seeking a Daycare Director to oversee the daytoday operations of our childcare center and foster a positive engaging learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to compliance with local and federal regulations.
In this role you will ensure the center operates smoothly safely and profitably while supporting staff and providing highquality care for children.
Responsibilities
- Create a Safe and Stimulating Environment: Ensure a safe happy and enriching space for children to learn and grow.
- Curriculum Management: Oversee curricula development and coordination to meet state and federal standards.
- Compliance and Facility Oversight: Ensure the daycare meets all legal requirements and maintains safety standards.
- Resource Management: Evaluate purchase and maintain materials equipment and supplies.
- Staff Leadership: Manage support and professionally develop teaching staff.
- Recruitment and Training: Hire train and onboard new employees while ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on childcare regulations and best practices.
- Parent Engagement: Communicate with parents about their childrens progress and center policies.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and accounts to ensure profitability.
- Marketing and Outreach: Develop and execute a marketing and communications plan.
- Program Familiarity: Must be proficient with COPA TS Gold ASQ ESIR CACFP Head Start Performance Standards Chicago Early Learning Standards Prevention Initiatives and Preschool for All.
Requirements
- Daycare Director Qualification: Must meet Illinois State qualifications.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a director role at a childcare facility.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with local state and federal childcare laws.
