Job Description
A well established company that offers professional steel processing services is currently recruiting for a Sigmanest Programmer / Draughtsman in the Cape Town area
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 yrs. sales experience in the steel industry.
- Must have knowledge of sheet metal.
- Must have knowledge and experience in Sigmanest.
- Knowledge and experience in solid works and tube laser will be advantageous
- Must be well spoken eloquent and confident.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Capturing customer orders on Sigmanest.
- Drawing of parts.
- Read and understand drawings.
- Double Checking of drawings to customer supplied drawings
- Checking for material availability use of offcut is priority
- Always refer to job instructions that were created by the sales department.
- Responsible for reporting any followup of orders or identified problems to relevant salesperson.
- Responsible for reporting any nonconformances to the Manager and/or Quality Manager.
- Ensure departments quality control required paperwork are completed as per job card procedure.
- Ensure that all special instructions given by the customer are captured and explained on the production supplied drawings if necessary.
- Responsible for job card control in his area as per procedure
- Assist with Induction training. Always adhere to the drawing office work procedure.
- Assist with quotations on tube laser.
