Job Summary
As a PACU Recovery Room RN youll play an essential role in postanesthesia patient care. Using your expertise you will monitor and assess patients recovering from surgery ensuring their safety and comfort in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver highquality patientcentered nursing care using the nursing process.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patients postsurgery interpreting vital signs and responding to changes in condition.
- Maintain clear communication with patients families and team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to the Texas Nurse Practice Act standards.
Who Were Looking For
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma Associate Degree).
- Experience: Open to new graduates; PACU or recovery experience is a plus.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Active RN license.
- Current CPRBCLS certification.
- ACLS & PALS (required within 30 days of hire).
- Skills:
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong criticalthinking skills in a fastpaced recovery environment.
- Professional demeanor and communication.
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when oncall.
