Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Service Sales Engineer/Service Account Representative to join our team at their Connecticut location. The primary responsibility of this role is to sell service agreements and small projects to our existing customer base within a defined sales territory. The successful candidate will also assist with project coordination and work closely with customers service technicians and management to fulfill the needs of our Service Agreement clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell service agreements and small projects to existing Alerton Controls customers.
  • Interface with internal departments including sales engineers service technicians finance accounting engineering and operations teams.
  • Supervise subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project completion and quality.
  • Learn and use the estimating tools proposal forms and sales forecasting reports.
  • Develop and present project proposals and related documentation to customers using ABS format.
  • Handle sales reporting including monthly sales opportunities/quotes bookings and annual service agreement renewals.
  • Coordinate subcontractor pricing and scope of work negotiations.
  • Participate in job turnover meetings with the engineering and operations teams for newly sold projects.
  • Stay current with technical aspects of the Alerton Controls product line and related HVAC and building automation technologies.
  • Engage in professional organizations within the HVAC industry (BOMA ASHRAE EEI etc.).

Requirements:

  • 5 years of Service Sales Engineering/Acocunt Management experience
  • Strong verbal written and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Indepth knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation controls.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel Outlook Word).
  • Motivated professional and customerfocused attitude.
