Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consultant to work on actuarial reserve valuation and reporting projects. The successful candidate will have expertise in actuarial modeling particularly in Prophet or R3S software and will be responsible for developing enhancing and testing actuarial models. This role requires interaction with senior business leadership providing advisory services to actuarial teams and delivering business solutions for complex actuarial challenges in the Life & Pensions insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on actuarial reserve valuation and reporting projects ensuring accurate modeling and reporting of reserves.
- Understand and support the development enhancement and testing of valuation and reserve models in Prophet or R3S.
- Analyze client requirements and provide tailored solutions to address their business needs.
- Act as an advisor to the actuarial team and other project members on complex actuarial functions.
- Collaborate and interact effectively with senior business leadership within the client organization and TCS.
- Coordinate with various internal teams (including IT Sales Marketing etc.) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure all actuarial models and functions align with industry standards and relevant regulations in the Life & Pensions sector.
Essential Skills:
- Qualified Actuary with extensive experience in actuarial modeling advisory and consulting.
- Expertise in actuarial software such as Prophet or R3S with handson experience in these tools.
- Strong experience in core actuarial functions including pricing valuation reporting and actuarial modeling for the Life & Pensions insurance business.
- Proficiency in actuarial modeling with Excel and the ability to develop and enhance complex models.
- Knowledge of insurance products and tariffs in the Netherlands or broader European markets.
- Ability to advise and mentor actuarial team members and provide solutions to senior management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with CXOlevel business leaders.
Desirable Skills:
- Fully qualified Fellow or Associate Actuary (preferred).
- Experience in the actuarial business/IT industry.
- Experience in working with nonactuarial teams such as IT Sales and Marketing.
- Proven track record in working with senior management and business leadership.

- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills capable of tackling complex actuarial challenges.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Actuarial degree (or equivalent) with extensive experience in actuarial work particularly in modeling and consulting.
- Additional qualifications like Fellow or Associate Actuary certifications are a plus.
