Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the healthcare team including RNs physicians therapists and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Address patient comfort and safety requirements including positioning mobility assistance and pain management.
Respond swiftly and effectively during medical emergencies adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
Adhere rigorously to infection control procedures encompassing proper hand hygiene and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent infections from spreading.
Safely handle store and dispose of medications and medical supplies in strict accordance with regulations and guidelines.
Foster health and wellness by promoting preventive care measures like vaccinations and screenings and aiding with health assessments.
Advocate for patients rights and needs within the healthcare system ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support.
Stay current on nursing best practices regulations and advancements through ongoing education and training.
In certain cases LPNs may supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) to ensure the delivery of highquality patient care.
