Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet students unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with learning disabilities in both individual and small group settings.
- Design and implement researchbased strategies and accommodations to support students academic progress and socialemotional development.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure the successful implementation of IEPs and accommodations in the general education setting.
- Monitor students progress regularly collect data and make datadriven instructional decisions to guide interventions and modifications.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of student progress services provided and communication with parents and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of learning disabilities and special education.
- Advocate for students with learning disabilities ensuring their needs are understood and met by all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Special Education preferred.
- New Jersey Department of Education SPED certification.
- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities assessment tools and evidencebased interventions.
- Familiarity with the IEP process and developing appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers parents and other professionals to support student success.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Passion for working with students with learning disabilities and a commitment to inclusive education.
