Job Description
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Utica NY 13502
Payrate:$80/hr
Duration: 13 Weeks contract
Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Nuclear Med Tech
- 5 8s or 410s
- ASAP start
- NO WEEKENDS
- NO CALL
- Duties: Nuclear Medicine Tech under general supervision performs routine diagnostic procedures and may have individual responsibility for training and leading the work of other employees.
- Qualifications: Nuclear Medicine Technologist NYS license/registration
- ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine
- Valid CPR certification
Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and ensure their safety during procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to acquire diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret imaging results and provide accurate reports.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent.
- State licensure or certification as required by regulatory authorities.
- Experience in performing nuclear medicine imaging procedures preferred.
- Proficiency in operating gamma cameras PET scanners and other nuclear medicine equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a healthcare team.
- Commitment to patient care safety and quality assurance.
