Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Silicon Photonics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and implementing state of the art silicon photonics models and algorithms to support the development of cuttingedge optical systems and components. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects at the forefront of optical technology and contribute to the advancement of nextgeneration optical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop photonics simulation models and algorithms using software tools such as Ansys Lumerical Lumerical MODE Interconnect.
Silicon photonics layout Design development using tools such as GDS Factory and KLayout
Modeling of integrated photonic devices
Design of optical active/passive components and systems
Programming experience in Python or C
Knowledge of waveguides modulators and integrated detectors
Optical components characterization & Testing
Conduct performance evaluations optimization studies and sensitivity analyses using simulation tools.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including optical engineers mechanical engineers and physicists to integrate optical components into larger systems.
Provide expertise and support for optical design reviews troubleshooting and problemsolving.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in optical simulation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Masters or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering Physics Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Silicon Photonics design software such asAnsys Lumeric GDS Factory KLayout.
Strong understanding of optics principles including geometrical optics physical optics and wave optics.
Experience with numerical modeling simulation and analysis of optical systems.
Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB Python or C/C for algorithm development.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Prior experience in the design and development of optical systems or components is preferred but not required.
