Job Description
The role is similar to that of a Senior Salesforce Programmer but operates under general supervision. The Salesforce Programmer is responsible for developing application software which includes tasks such as analyzing and refining system requirements translating them into application prototypes designing system architecture writing and debugging code and maintaining software. Additional responsibilities involve designing user interfaces collaborating with clients to test applications ensuring software quality and functionality integrating hardware and software components creating and maintaining documentation evaluating new software technologies and applying information security practices to application services.
In developing operating systems the Salesforce Programmer is tasked with analyzing system requirements in line with business needs risks and costs; selecting and validating the software environment; installing and configuring essential tools like compilers and assemblers; integrating hardware and software within the systems environment; optimizing system performance; assessing new engineering technologies and their impact; and ensuring that information security principles are incorporated into the operating environment.
Required Skills:The Salesforce Programmer should have expertise in software development principles and methodologies to participate effectively in the design development testing and implementation of new or modified applications. They should also have experience in configuring operating systems understanding the organizations operational environment applying software design principles and optimizing and integrating new or reusable system components. Knowledge of relevant regulations infrastructure requirements (such as bandwidth and server capacity) database management and systems engineering concepts (including scalability maintainability reliability and survivability) is essential. Strong communication skills both written and verbal are also required to maintain effective working relationships and prepare clear reports.
This role requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Salesforce systems analysis design and programming with at least three (3) years in a lead role.
A bachelors degree in a relevant IT or Engineering field is required although additional experience may be substituted for education on a yearforyear basis. A live scan clearance is mandatory for this position.
