Job description
- Strong Exp in SQL with expertise in BD like postgreSQLpreferably cloud hosted in any on or more cloud offerings like AWS Azure GCP or any Cloud based Data warehouse like snowflack Azure Synapse
- Competence in data preparation like ETLtools like snaplogic MATTILLION Azure Data factory AWS clu SSIS to build and maintain data pipeline and flows
- understanding data modeling techniques and working knowledge with OLTP OLAP systems
- Deep knowledge of database stored procedure optimation of huge data
- in depth kknowledge of ingestion techniques data cleaning dedupe partioning
- Exp with building infra requried for data ingestion and analytics
- ability to fine tune report generating queries
- Normalization denormalization exception handling profiling queries performance counter debugging
- Responsibilities
- Help write and optimize inapplication SQL statements
- Ensure performance security and availability of databases
- Prepare documentations and specifications
- Handle common database procedures such as upgrade backup recovery migration etc
- Profile server resource usage and optimize and tweak as necessary
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Add other responsibilities here that are relevant
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
- Experience with some of the modern relational databases
- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
- Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
- Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
- Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git Mercurial SVN
