Job Description
Job Title: Remote Sensing and Photography GIS Analyst
Location: Fairfax Virginia (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze aerial and satellite imagery including panchromatic color multispectral thermal 3D mesh point clouds and LIDAR data.
- Perform digital processing and accuracy assessment of imagery. Create planimetric features and conduct surface model creation and digital aerial triangulation analysis.
- Derive and update planimetric data perform land cover classification and carry out thematic map accuracy assessment using statistical sampling design and analysis.
- Work with imagery sources and delivery systems including fixedwing aircraft UAS and satellites. Familiarize with various sensors and their applications.
- Utilize artificial intelligence techniques for image object detection such as identifying solar panels swimming pools and other features.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure accurate data interpretation and deliver highquality geospatial products.
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in remote sensing and GIS analysis with a strong background in interpreting aerial and satellite imagery.
- Proficiency in analyzing panchromatic color multispectral thermal imagery LIDAR data and working with UAS and fixedwing data sources. Familiarity with sensors and digital processing tools.
- Expertise in surface model creation digital aerial triangulation thematic map accuracy assessment and land cover classification.
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence for image object detection and analysis.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings.
