Job Description
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Chicago IL Milwaukee WI Madison WI
Duration: 6 to 12 months
Start Date: November 2024
Shift Schedule: 8 to 12 hrs/day
Qualification:
Education: Associate degree or certificate in medical laboratory technology.
Certifications: BLS MLT
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
Experience with various laboratory techniques and procedures including specimen collection preparation and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Collect prepare and process patient specimens including blood urine and other bodily fluids.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Analyze test results and document findings according to standard procedures and protocols.
- Follow safety guidelines and infection control practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all tests and procedures.
- Communicate test results and findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
