Job Description

A diverse and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team. The ideal candidate will be a creative and passionate Reception Teacher committed to providing an engaging and nurturing learning environment for young children. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Reception students.

  • Permanent position
  • Fulltime position
  • Starting in January 2025
  • London MPS1 UPS3 Salary

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that foster a love for learning in Reception students.
  • Monitor and assess childrens progress providing feedback and setting improvement targets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Early Years team to deliver a rich and diverse curriculum.
  • Create a safe and engaging classroom environment where children feel supported and motivated.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about the progress of Reception students.

Requirements:

  • PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Reception or Early Years settings.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for working with young children.
