About the Opportunity:
FedTec is looking to hire a skilled and experienced Security Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Security Infrastructure Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing implementing and maintaining the security infrastructure of our organization. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to identify security risks develop robust security solutions and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data.
Job Title: Security Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Reston VA
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain security infrastructure components such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems VPNs and endpoint security solutions.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks and weaknesses in the infrastructure.
- Develop and implement security policies procedures and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security controls into infrastructure design and implementation projects.
- Participate in incident response activities including investigation containment and recovery.
- Stay uptodate on the latest cybersecurity threats trends and technologies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on securityrelated matters and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience in designing implementing and managing security infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles protocols and technologies.
- Handson experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls IDS/IPS SIEM endpoint security etc.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g. NISA 800172 ISO 27001 CIS Controls).
- Good to have exoerience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
