1. Product Costing:
o Prepare and analyze cost estimates for products.
o Monitor and update standard costs periodically.
o Assist in pricing decisions by providing accurate cost breakdowns.
2. Variance Analysis:
o Analyze cost variances (e.g. material labor and overhead) and identify root causes.
o Report on variances to management with actionable recommendations.
3. Inventory Management:
o Oversee inventory valuation and control.
o Coordinate physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Prepare costbased budgets and forecasts.
o Provide insights for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
5. Reporting and Compliance:
o Generate detailed cost reports for management decisionmaking.
o Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
6. Process Improvement:
o Collaborate with operations and production teams to identify costsaving opportunities.
7. Other Duties:
o Implement best practices for cost management.
o Support the finance team in monthend closing and financial reporting.
o Provide training to junior staff or team members as needed.
