Role: Software Engineer Net Dev OR Java Dev
Length: 12 months likely of extensions
Location: New York hybrid consultant twice a week in NY Manhattan
Rate: 8590hr. C2C
Interview: 3 Stages : 1st stage 3045 min conversational IV with HM & Tech Lead 2nd Stage Coding Exercises on HackerRank & 3rd stage Snr Manager and his manager very technical
Essential: .Net OR Java SQL APIs Linux Portfolio Accounting (Eagle Advant Geneva Aladdin) Investment experience Equities or Fixed Income and understanding of Securities
Working with a private independent investment manager the firm manages equities fixed income private equity and hedge fund portfolios for institutions and advisors worldwide.
Client has developed an inhouse accounting engine called SPMR. They are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in either .NET or Java to support their digital transformation.
The firm is looking to introduce containerization and Red Hat. The accounting system is still run onpremises; therefore you will be working on many integrations and introducing new features.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience as an Application Developer with a portfolio of projects.
- Solid understanding proficiency and experience with Azure DevOps GIT Java C#/.Net SQL Server
- Demonstrated ability in SQLbased RDBMS.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of portfolio accounting business practices and applications
- Experience with IBM Informix is an advantage
- Experience with cloud platforms and services is a plus (e.g. Snowflake)
- Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript).
- Experience in real time messaging (IBM MQ) and ETL tools (Informatica)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
