Job Description
Position Title: Project Manager
Department: Renewable Energy
Reports to: GM Renewable Energy
Purpose: This role is responsible to oversee the planning installation commissioning
and maintenance of all projects related to Renewable Energy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop coordinate and manage project design budgeting and scheduling pre
qualification management of contractors subcontractors and equipment
vendors; maintaining close contact with the various stakeholders and
deliverables. - Supervise and review cost estimating and purchasing functions; manage fieldrelated project planning scheduling and quality control; risk management
activities; and manage budgets schedules invoicing and other contract requirements. - Produce revise monitor and assess the project schedule/progress during all project phases.
- Ensure that projects and initiatives are executed within the time frame that is
allocated to them and that they fall within the customer and or company s budget. - Monitor and assess project budgets.
- Manage and maintain communication between field engineers and outsourced
vendors. Select and coordinate subcontractors handling projects for the
department. - Design solar systems based on customer requirements; mini grid and roof top
solar etc. Discuss with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements. - Assess the loads and loading pattern of consumer energy consumption and optimal sizing solar power solutions.
- Assist in researching and developing new products.
- Technical analysis of tender and bid specifications. Preparation of BOQ/BOMs.
- Allocate and follow through with all technical project specifications.
- Coordination with OEMs at suppliers end & proper installation of the equipment as per manufacturers guidelines.
- Attend project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain project related files drawings materials and correspondence.
- Collaborate with departments to prepare and maintain all forms of reports presentations documentation and related project material.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for Management.
- Ensure that all project execution complies with customer and company s HSE Policy
- Routine site visits for onspot project quality inspection
- Liaising/meeting with customers contractors and vendors on behalf of the company for smooth operations
- Perform additional assignments as per the manager s direction
- Responsible for compliance with ISO system for business process
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Helioscope software CAD or other engineering design software
- Capable and wellconversant in tools and software used for designing solar power solutions
- Excellent organizational skills ability to multitask and organize others
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Ability to execute projects within its time and budget requirements
- Decisionmaking ability with excellent planning and problemsolving skills
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a similar position
- Degree in relevant discipline Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Project Management Training/Certification (PMP) preferred
