Job Title: Packaging Engineer Design/Development

**Hybrid Schedule: Tues/Wed/Thurs in the office
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for creating developing and commercializing packaging initiatives that support core brand growth efficiency and innovation for the Client. This role provides technical support to troubleshoot key quality or manufacturing issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads development of fit for purpose packaging platforms that are designed to maximize desirability/feasibility/viability.
- Strategic Cell Leadership Team member. Influencer for cell core growth and innovation projects. Also responsible for ideating and realizing strategic cell value leadership goals.
- Develop detailed packaging specifications to ensure quality materials and best value for money on all packaging components used at our facilities copackers and comanufacturers.
- Initiates coordinates and executes line trials at appropriate supply locations to confirm that quality attributes and performance metrics are achieved.
- Manages packaging suppliers to ensure proper execution of projects and recommends/qualifies new ones when appropriate.
- Coordinates the creation of highquality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability influence teams and support customer collaboration.
- Collaborates with global Client counterparts to spot opportunities for scale and ensure sharing of best practices and coordination of key activities.
- Managing and measuring work for themselves as well as T1 and T2 Packaging Engineers on Strategic Cell activities.
Education Licenses Cert Requirements
- B.S. Packaging Science (RIT MSU Clemson Rutgers)
- Experience is packaging prime cost savings is a plus.
- Must have 2 5 years of fastpaced CPG packaging development experience.
- Must be able to navigate complex specification systems. Must be confident in x functional team settings.
- and Must be skilled in flexible film paperboard and corrugated materials and have a capable understanding of both flexible FFS and horizontal flow wrap equipment
