Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Foundry Utility Supervisor (FUS) reports to the Foundry Manager and has daily interactions with all Foundry departments. As a floating frontline supervisor the FUSs top priorities are to effectively lead various production areas and provide support/coverage for other Supervisors when needed.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Floating Supervisor. Fill coverage gaps by assuming duties of unavailable Supervisors.
  • Assist with CAD/Modeling/Pattern Design.
  • Ensure all Safety and Environmental training is up to date while promoting a people first culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • OnTime Delivery of castings. Work with all Foundry departments to ensure we meet or exceed our OnTime Delivery goals.
  • Work with Foundry Manager and area Supervisors to provide support to hourly Team Members assuring that the right tools and training are present to safely complete duties and tasks.
  • Collect and record daily production information and identify opportunities for improvement based on the data.
  • Ensure quality assurance measures are adhered to by Team Members.
  • Actively promote a work environment of accountability and trust.
  • Support maintenance in the trouble shooting of equipment.
  • Identify areas needing support through daily interactions and walkthroughs on production floor.
  • Maintain payroll system for assigned employees including submitting vacation and approving hours worked on a weekly basis.
  • Perform monthly safety inspections as assigned with a focus on improvements.
  • Direct workforce on a daytoday basis making changes as needed.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 1 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Proficient user of MS Office programs; especially Excel.
  • Initiativetaking attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timelinedriven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
