Job Description

About the Role:

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Land Development Civil Engineer to join our direct clients dynamic team. In this role you will contribute to innovative civil engineering designs and site development permitting strategies for meaningful communityoriented projects. Our client focuses on continuous improvement strategic growth and delivering value to every project.

Position Overview:

The MidLevel Land Development Engineer will perform civil engineering land development consulting permitting and construction administration tasks. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to handle complex assignments while contributing to managerial administrative and operational duties.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform civil engineering design tasks including grading drainage hydrologic studies hydraulic design water distribution wastewater collection fire protection stormwater management and floodplain analysis.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans specifications and project documents for quality and compliance with standards.
  • Manage projects or specific aspects ensuring scope budget and schedule alignment from design to construction administration.
  • Use standard engineering techniques and adapt them for complex assignments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects planners surveyors attorneys and engineers to meet project objectives.
  • Participate in proposal preparation client meetings and stakeholder presentations while overseeing invoicing and project closeout.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and apply knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABETaccredited program (Advanced degree preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in civil engineering focusing on land development and infrastructure projects (Advanced degree may substitute for experience).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering tools including AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying informed on industry trends.
