The Mathematics Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) job typically involves teaching mathematics to students at the middle and senior school levels (grades 610). Job Title: Trained Graduate Teacher (Mathematics)
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Lesson Planning:
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons in mathematics for middle and senior school

- Develop and implement a wellorganized curriculum in alignment with school standards and educational frameworks.
- Teach various mathematical concepts such as algebra geometry trigonometry calculus statistics and number theory.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources (e.g. visual aids educational software handson activities) to enhance student understanding.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
- Ensure that students follow classroom rules and respect school policies.
- Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design and conduct regular assessments (quizzes tests assignments) to gauge students progress and understanding.
- Provide feedback to students on their performance and suggest areas for improvement.
- Maintain records of student grades attendance and other academic performance data.
Student Support:
- Identify students who require additional help and offer remedial support.
- Foster a nurturing environment for students personal and academic growth.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Guide students in using math to solve realworld problems and understand its practical applications.
Professional Development:
- Keep uptodate with the latest developments in the field of mathematics education.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor s degree (B.Sc./B.A.) in Mathematics or a related field.
- Teaching certification or equivalent credentials as per the educational board (e.g. CBSE ICSE State Board) regulations.
Experience:
- Minimum 25 years of teaching experience in a similar role (depending on the school).
- Experience in using modern educational technology (e.g. online teaching tools smartboards) is an advantage.
