Job Description
Location: West Palm Beach FL (4 days in office 1 from home)
About the role:
This role is responsible for managing the endtoend process of a customers deal and identifying any risks that may affect the assignment of royalties. The Jr. Underwriter will play a crucial role in mitigating risks and keeping all internal interested parties apprised of deal status to ensure a seamless process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 2030 customer files overseeing the entire process from contract review to funding
- Conduct a thorough review and underwriting of customer files within 24 hours of receiving the executed contract and keep internal database up to date with findings
- Process and evaluate customer applications utilizing analytical skills and internal/market guidelines for accurate assessment
- Communicate effectively with clients outside vendors/royalty payors and financial institutions to gather necessary information for assignment completion
- Assist Royalty Specialist with general inquiries and provide them with relevant information as needed throughout the process
- Review reports to identify outstanding items and follow up with royalty payors for resolution
- Analyze credit and search reports interpret the gathered information and taking appropriate actions
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a Jr. Underwriter or in a similar role within the financial industry
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and underwriting principles
- Excellent analytical and decisionmaking skills
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Provide support with various tasks related to the daytoday functions of the department
- Selfmotivated with a committed work ethic
