Job Description
Our client seeks to recruit a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of their shipping agency business in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. As a leading player in the shipping industry our client is committed to excellence and growth offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance leadership experience and a deep understanding of the shipping sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 8 members managing daily accounting tasks ensuring accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee the yearend closing process and the preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare and present regular MIS reports to senior management analyze financial data and support strategic decisionmaking.
- Manage VAT and corporate tax compliance staying updated on tax regulations.
- Mentor and develop the finance team providing leadership and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) M.Com or MBA.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in the service industry preferably within the shipping/logistics sector.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of financial practices within the shipping industry is a plus.
