Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Supervisor to oversee the installation of mechanical car parking systems at various project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical systems as well as experience in managing teams and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time within budget and according to design specifications. The role requires handson supervision of installations coordination with clients and stakeholders and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of mechanical car parking systems across multiple project sites.
- Ensure all projects are completed within agreed timelines budgets and design specifications.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of technicians installers and subcontractors ensuring all tasks are assigned effectively.
- Monitor performance provide guidance and enforce adherence to safety and quality standards.
Technical Oversight:
- Review and interpret technical drawings schematics and installation manuals to ensure proper execution of installation processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise onsite consulting with engineering teams when necessary.
Site Preparation:
- Ensure the installation site is adequately prepared including verifying foundation levels power supply and material availability.
- Coordinate with clients architects and civil contractors to address sitespecific requirements and constraints.
Installation Activities:
- Oversee the assembly alignment and installation of mechanical components including lifts pulleys motors and structural frames.
- Ensure seamless integration of mechanical electrical and software components of the parking system.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards throughout the installation process.
- Conduct safety briefings and risk assessments before work begins onsite.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform inspections of completed installations to verify proper functionality alignment and adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct test runs and quality checks to ensure the parking system operates reliably and efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of installation progress materials used and any changes made to the original plans.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports to project managers or senior management.
Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.
- Address client inquiries and provide regular updates on installation progress technical details and timelines.
Training and Handover:
- Provide training to clients or operators on the proper use and maintenance of the installed car parking system.
- Ensure the smooth handover of the project providing all necessary documentation and support materials.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in the installation maintenance or supervision of mechanical systems preferably within the automated car parking systems industry or similar fields.
- Certifications: Knowledge of safety standards (e.g. OSHA) and additional certifications in project management or installation supervision are desirable.
