Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role you will play a vital part in delivering efficient and safe medical services to our patients. Your primary focus will be assisting our medical staff (providers nurses and onsite specialty care providers) while performing routine administrative and clinical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for appointments including setting up exam rooms checking patients in and out and obtaining accurate medical histories.

Perform and document preexam physical tests such as measuring vital signs.

Conduct general medical procedures (e.g. dressing changes suture removal) under the supervision and authorization of a physician.

Collect and prepare laboratory specimens as ordered.

Perform routine sterilization procedures for medical and dental equipment.

Maintain clinic logs and ensure exam rooms are consistently stocked sanitized and ready for patient encounters.
Qualifications:
-
Completion of a Medical Assistant Program accredited by the CAAHEP or the California State Medical Board.

Certification from a recognized agency (AAMA CCMA AMCA AMT MMCI) is preferred.

Minimum of two years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting preferably with a frail or elderly population.
