Job Description
Our company has a client in NYC that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for design implementation and support of network technologies across the global landscape with a high degree of focus on security and next generation connectivity. The Senior Network Engineer will also provide ongoing day to day tier 3 support for the global data network in response to related support tasks and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
* Design develop and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure * Responsible for 3rd level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues * Responsible for maintenance of all monitoring and reporting systems * Produce and maintain documentation related to all systems developed/deployed * Perform oncall duty for nonbusiness hours support as per shift assignments
* Perform administrative tasks pertaining to time entry and status reporting * Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers switches firewalls load balancers VPN QoS) * Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs patches hot fixes and security configurations * Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
* Monitor system resource utilization trending and capacity planning * Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
* Select and implement security tools policies and procedures in conjunction with the company s security team * Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution * Open for 24x7 availability * Conduct technical trainings to internal resources
Required Skills : Hybrid 3 days from: Garden City NY; Morristown NJ; New York City NY; Purchase NY 612 Month Contract 58 years of experience Experience with Next Gen Firewalls Cisco Firepower preferred. Experience in troubleshooting routing loops.
