Job Description

AMI (African Management Institute) is looking for an ambitious talented and dynamic Communication Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis preferably based in Ghana. In this role you will develop and execute communication strategies aimed at recruiting and engaging leaders and entrepreneurs for AMI s business development programs.

You will be instrumental in creating compelling content managing digital campaigns and hosting virtual and inperson events to attract participants to our transformative programs. Additionally you will collaborate with internal teams to streamline enrollment processes build strong relationships with stakeholders and track interactions through AMI s CRM system.

This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual passionate about Africa s transformation through SME development leadership growth and business learning.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communication Development

  • Design and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to support AMI s impact programs such as the CapPlus BDS for Ghana MSMEs and other initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing and recruitment teams to create messaging that highlights the value of AMI s programs to diverse audiences.

Content Creation and Management

  • Develop and manage communication materials including brochures email campaigns presentations and social media posts aligned with AMI s branding.
  • Tailor content to resonate with target audiences including entrepreneurs business leaders and industry associations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a key communication liaison providing accurate timely information on program benefits requirements and application processes.
  • Craft personalized outreach messages for entrepreneurs business leaders and relevant organizations to strengthen relationships.

Event Hosting and Facilitation

  • Plan organize and host inperson and virtual events (e.g. Zoom webinars) to promote AMI s programs and engage participants.
  • Design interactive and professional virtual sessions in collaboration with program and recruitment teams.

Digital Communication and Social Media

  • Drive social media strategies to enhance AMI s visibility and attract highquality applicants.
  • Monitor digital engagement metrics and adjust communication efforts for optimal results.

Recruitment Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to execute promotional campaigns that boost enrollment in AMI s programs.
  • Manage communication touchpoints to ensure a seamless applicant experience.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Maintain accurate records of communication activities in AMI s CRM system.
  • Prepare performance reports offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Communication Public Relations Marketing Journalism or a related field.

  • 35 years of professional experience in communication stakeholder engagement or event management roles ideally within corporate or nonprofit sectors.

  • Strong project management skills from lead generation to closure.

  • Familiarity with business learning programs SME development or leadership initiatives in Africa is a plus.

  • Experience using Zoho CRM or similar systems is highly desirable.
