THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy planning and reporting functions of the company. As a key leader in the finance department this position will report directly to the COO and will be tasked with building and leading a highperforming finance team. The primary goal of this position is to enhance the company's financial performance by providing strategic financial insights driving profitability and implementing strong internal controls and risk management practices. The Director of Finance will collaborate closely with various departments including Supply Chain Logistics and Warehousing to ensure alignment between financial strategies and business objectives.
REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer
SUPERVISES: the Finance and accounting team
INTERFACES: All department managers and employees of the company executive team including the CEO and outside professionals such as auditors insurance brokers and agents banking representatives tax agencies and other professionals.
COMPENSATION: Salary (Exempt Status) and Performance Bonus

OVERSEAS FOOD TRADING WEBSITE:
CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Ability to work in partnership with the COO in developing the financial strategy to be presented to the executive team and Board of directors including demonstrating sound decision making in support of resource utilization cost management margin improvement and other key financial projects.
- Ability to interpret strategic direction and priorities provided by the COO and to action them within the Finance and Accounting team as well as work crossfunctionally to develop the necessary processes and tools to meet goals & objectives and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Ability to develop and manage annual budgets as well as longterm forecasting. Ability to track against budgets and forecasts and identify trends risks and opportunities as well as provide key insights and recommendations to senior management for improving profitability and reducing costs.
- Ability to monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its operating needs and identify opportunities for optimizing cash conversion cycles and improving cash flow forecasting. Ability to oversee the use of our credit lines and manage relationships with our bank and other financial institutions.
- Ability to be a strong leader for their team and demonstrate a growth mindset while collaborating closely with other key departments like Supply Chain Logistics and Warehousing to align financial planning with operational goals.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education and Experience:
• A current Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• A bachelor’s degree from a fouryear college or university in accounting finance or relevant field.
• 10 years related experience in accounting and 5 years in a Controller/Manager or higher role.
• Thorough knowledge of federal state and local tax laws
• Food Industry experience preferred in manufacturing consumer goods wholesale distribution and/or grocery.
• Excellent GAAP and financial reporting skills (exposure to IFRS is a plus)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
• History of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
• Public Accounting background is desirable.
• Capacity to influence obtain buyin and interact at senior levels.
• Ability to communicate clearly and directly using emotional intelligence.
• Ability to think outside of the box and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and group situations.
• Proficiency using Microsoft 365.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and technology in general.
• Ability to research/implement new technical accounting pronouncements.
• Ability to analyze and determine the suitability of financial hardware and software to support various accounting related business processes and wellversed in ERP and Microsoft Power BI (Business Central or comparable software).
• Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals financial reports and legal documents.
Language and Communication Skills:
• Demonstrate credibility confidentiality and high ethical standards.
• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
• Ability to effectively present information to management boards of directors banks.
Physical sensory and motor demands:
• Occasional driving to warehouses may be required frequent standing and sitting. Intermittent squatting
bending twisting lifting. This position requires excellent visual acuity and auditory sense. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
