The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing fleet management and procurement processes for constructionrelated activities. This role requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and a solid understanding of procurement procedures vendor management and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fleet Management: Coordinate the maintenance scheduling and documentation of the company’s vehicle fleet. Ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition by managing repairs routine maintenance and inspections. Maintain fleet records to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Procurement: Manage the procurement process for construction equipment tools and supplies. This includes sourcing vendors negotiating contracts obtaining quotes and ensuring timely delivery of materials to construction sites. Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure costeffective purchasing and quality assurance.
• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain a network of suppliers and service providers. Evaluate vendor performance negotiate contracts and ensure that procurement practices align with company standards and budget requirements.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain stock levels of necessary parts and equipment for fleet and construction projects. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure efficient distribution and replenishment of materials across multiple project sites.
• Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records for fleet management and procurement activities ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Keep documentation for vehicle maintenance vendor contracts purchase orders and invoices up to date and organized.
• Cost Management: Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets for fleet operations and procurement. Analyze spending patterns negotiate better terms with suppliers and find opportunities for cost savings while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Communication: Collaborate with project managers site supervisors and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely procurement of necessary materials. Provide regular updates on fleet performance maintenance schedules and procurement progress.
Qualifications:
• Proven work experience in Fleet Management Procurement or a similar role within the construction or related industry (more than 2 years of experience)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Knowledge of construction equipment vehicle maintenance and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications for fleet management and procurement tracking.
• Spanish speaking.
