Overview: We are seeking a detailoriented and highly organized Accountant with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all accounting operations and provide critical financial insights to drive business success. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing financial reporting budgeting and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare update and summarize financial reports on a monthly basis.
- Forecast update and develop an annual budget to guide the company’s financial planning.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of all accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for costsaving and operational efficiency improvements.
- Prepare quarterly reports for investor distribution ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Process invoices checks and payroll accurately and on time and resolve any discrepancies.
- Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries and prepare balance sheets along with monthly financial reports.
- Oversee all financial transactions including credit card and bank reconciliations while managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Collaborate with managers to provide detailed financial reporting to ensure that the costs timelines and budgets of construction projects are accurately forecasted and tracked.
- Perform cost tracking ensuring all financial data is inputted accurately and classified by project and cost description in QuickBooks and spreadsheets.
- Update and maintain accurate financial records on Dropbox including contracts project budgets cost tracking reports invoices proposals engineering drawings permits etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Accountant or CPA.
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain structured records.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and prioritize work.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with other financial tools/software is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in cost tracking and project budgeting especially in construction or related industries.
- Familiarity with Dropbox for maintaining and organizing projectrelated documentation.
