Quality Control Specialist
Pay:$20.50/HR
Hours:Monday Saturday 7 AM 6 PM
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Location:South Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Job Description:
The Quality Control Specialist ensures product quality and safety through thorough monitoring and inspection during the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shop Print Interpretation:Read and interpret shop prints accurately.
- Product Inspection:Conduct detailed inspections of products to meet quality standards.
- Issue Resolution:Collaborate with welders and operators to resolve quality issues.
- Policy Compliance:Guide adherence to codes and procedures especially regarding tolerances.
- Documentation:Complete NonConformance Reports (NCRs) and safety observation cards promptly.
- Safety Compliance:Follow safety protocols specific to the area.
- Additional Tasks:Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
- Welding Experience:Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
- Measurement Accuracy:Proficient in reading a tape measure to 1/16th inch.
- Print Reading:Strong ability to read and understand shop prints.
- Coordination Skills:Effectively coordinate with Shop Supervisors.
- Inspection Tools Proficiency:Skilled in using inspection tools.
- Communication Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication.
- ProblemSolving:Strong problemsolving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the AWS D1.1 welding code.
- Previous inspection experience.
